Amitabh-Abhishek-Aishwarya Rai enjoying London chill: Just yesterday we reported about Abhishek being alone in Europe while Ash was seen with her pa-in-law Amitabh Bachchan at the award functions over the last week. Well, now the family has come together again in London, as this pic shows.
Abhi was recently spotted attending the Milan Fashion Week alone. And Big B too recently escaped an emergency situation in a London hotel where he had been staying.
Guess the trio’s stay in London is turning out to be quite eventful.

Amitabh Bachchan hosting more KBC next seasons
Amitabh Bachchan hosting more KBC next seasons: Little wonder then that he’s been roped in by Sony Entertainment Television to host two more seasons of the show.
“Sony and I have signed on for KBC for the next two seasons... your blessings and encouragement needed in abundance!” Amitabh posted on his Twitter page.
It was Amitabh who first launched the show in 2000. He returned as its host for the second season in 2005 but was replaced by Shahrukh Khan in the show’s third season, but the audience response wasn’t as phenomenal as expected.
Last year, Big B returned as the host and revived the show and took its TRPs beyond those of other prime time shows, including Bigg Boss 4.
Sony Entertainment has confirmed that Big B has been signed to host two more seasons of the show. The fifth season will go on air this year only.

Amitabh Bachchan's No for IIFA brand ambassador
Amitabh Bachchan's No for IIFA brand ambassador: Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who has been the brand ambassador of the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards since their inception in 2000, will no longer perform the role - and the concept itself has been dropped.
"Due to unexplainable reasons, after announcing the event, Mr. Bachchan couldn’t participate in the IIFA Weekend in Sri Lanka last year. Following this, IIFA aborted the concept of a Brand Ambassador," Sabbas Joseph, director, Wizcraft entertainment that organizes the event, said in a statement.
"Keeping in mind the huge respect that Wizcraft and IIFA have for Mr. Bachchan and the deep relationship that we’ve always shared, we are not having anyone replace Mr. Bachchan."
"The Bachchan family has been an intrinsic part of IIFA every year, and in this regard we have already shared with them a proposal about their participation this year too. Mr Bachchan’s reason for non-participation is best known to him. IIFA and Mr.Bachchan are inseparable. We will continue to pursue his participation for this year too," Joseph said.
However, there could be more to this than meets the eye as Amitabh confirmed the parting of ways on his Twitter account but put the onus on the IIFA. Tweeting, “Not coming to Toronto IIFA…IIFA says my services are not required.”

Bachchan's family boycott IIFA Awards 2011 at Toronto
Bachchan's family boycott IIFA Awards 2011 at Toronto: It's the season of awards in B'town. And amongst all the winning and losing, celebrating and griping - it's absence and not presence that is gripping headlines, more so than whose walking away with the trophies.
If tweeting and twittering is to go by then the first family of Bollywood, Bachchan Junior and Senior with family won't be making an appearance at the 2011 International Indian Film Academy Awards a.k.a IIFA Awards to be held in Toronto this year.
The head of the B'clan, Amitabh Bachchan posted the following message to his legions of followers on twitter saying, "We are not coming to IIFA. IIFA said our services are not required!"
The development does come as a bit of surprise as the Bachchans have had a long association with IIFA and are perceived by many to be Ambassadors of the awards.
Surely they'll be sourly missed!

Amitabh Bachchan and Shweta Nanda in Koffee with Karan
Amitabh Bachchan and Shweta Nanda in Koffee with Karan: Koffee with Karan season 3 has its own flavor with the stars invited by the host KJO to give every possible insight about their lives which turns out to be quite a great treat for the host and the viewers too.
The last episode of the cheesy chat show had the charismatic father daughter duo of Amitabh Bachchan and Shweta Bachchan who were an absolute delight to watch from every perspective.
As Karan invited Big B on the posh leather crested couch there was an instant bonding between the two that could be felt as Big B very comfortably answered to every question with a glint in his eyes.
Then as Shweta arrived in an all red ensemble she looked the epitome of fashion –very elegant!
Thus began the actual banter which went on to the GK quiz and then the Rapid fire round. The rapid fire round was quite interesting with questions like what is the one thing that you don’t like about Ash? Or What is the one thing that you would like to change about Ash?
Well, the first question was asked to Big B and he said he wanted her to change her timings. The second question put to Shweta was answered by her very confidently as she simply said- ‘nothing’- which meant she did not want to change anything about Ash.
Well, that was really something! The best part was when KJO was heard admitting to the fact that he had played a vital role in making Ash and Abhi a couple at which Big B was surprised as he was not aware of any such thing.
However Big B did say that he was quite happy that Ash had come to their home and she was just like a daughter to him and Jayaji. One daughter left and another entered! Lucky Ash!
Well, the show did prove that KJO and Shweta were really cool with each other and great friends too. The show was indeed KOOL!

Amitabh Bachchan talks about Sachin Tendulkar!
Amitabh Bachchan talks about Sachin Tendulkar!: For yet one more time, India’s batting genius Sachin Tendulkar has created cricket history by becoming the only player to have hit 50 centuries. He has been showered with praises from Bollywood.
Taking the lead in heaping praise on the little master is Big B, Amitabh Bachchan. The superstar is miffed with repeated comparisons between Sachin and the Aussie cricketing legend Sir Don Bradman.
“Why must there be a debate or even a discussion on whether Sachin is greater than Don Bradman or not? Sachin is greater, period! By bringing the topic up for debate you are somewhere unsure whether he really is deserving of being great or not.
And this is objectionable to me,” Amitabh wrote on his blog while praising Tendulkar’s achievement.
Big B also slammed the typical Indian attitude of comparing our heroes, be it in sports, films, or any other field, to those of the west.
“Why do we always want to describe our achievement or subject with a comparison from the West. Alright, the West is far developed than us, is richer materially, advanced and secure. So how does this give us the need to comment that they are superior. Or that the best comes from there and not here,” the 68-year-old superstar wrote.

Amitabh Bachchan's KBC 4 retained highest TRP's
Amitabh Bachchan's KBC 4 retained highest TRP's: Amitabh Bachchan has taken the show Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC 4) to an unique height this year.
The show's finale on Thursday final week touched the highest TRP of 5. 5 according to aMap rating. In connection, the Salman Khan hosted show Bigg Boss 4 earned the TRP of 2. 7.
In fact the TRPs of KBC 4 were steady from the start. Its opening episode in October got 5 rating. Later, the show remained between the rating of 4 and 5. It dipped a bit in the days when Bigg Boss roped in Pamela Anderson. Even Sara-Ali wedding got a good response from viewers.
But Bigg Boss couldn’t keep the same rating, despite putting the spitfire Dolly Bindra back in the house. Amitabh Bachchan just pumped the TRPs higher and higher in the concluding days of the show. The finale, with a guest appearance by Dharmendra, grabbed maximum eyeballs.
The verdict is clear. Amitabh Bachchan is the shahenshah of the small screen.
Take a bow!

Shehenshah Big B visits Baadshah SRK

Amitabh wrote on his blog, “I had sent him (Shah Rukh) a message for his speedy recovery. He called back to thank and inform me that he is home. ‘I was getting depressed in hospital, so came away’.”
Big B also messaged him, “I was planning to visit you in the hospital” to which SRK replied, “Come home sir, we shall play some games.”
Amitabh further said, “Don’t take after surgery too lightly, I warned him and take rest and do not get into any kind of activity. He sounds a little groggy. I shall visit him tomorrow.
”Well that’s quite nice of Big B, guess the cold war between them is over.
