Actress Ranjitha who was fighting for her reputation after the recent controversies seems to be gathering all broken pieces. She is terribly upset with some media that went overboard in tarnishing her image.

In an interview few days ago, Ranjitha said she has no immediate plans to return to films for now. She will have one release in Malayalam that was completed even before she had gone to the US. In her last Tamil film ‘Raavanan’, her role was drastically edited for obvious reasons.

Our exclusive sources say that she may make her re-entry via Tamil. The man who introduced Ranjitha in films, Bharathiraja, has reportedly approached her to do an important role in his upcoming film 'Appan Aatha'. Bharathiraja is of the confidence that only Ranjitha will be able to do justice to the role.

But the girl whom he introduced in 'Nadodi Thendral' way back in 1992 is not the same now.

The CID has thwarted the claims by Sandalwood actress Ranjitha that she was not the woman in the Swami Nithyananda sex video and confirmed that Forensic Science Lab(FSL) reports proved her presence in the video.

Investigators had already checked and crosschecked to ascertain the video's authenticity when the scam was busted and sent the CD to the FSL in Hyderabad and Chandigarh, along with separate images of both Nithyananda and Ranjitha. FSL experts have confirmed that the images are genuine and are neither morphed nor any body double has been used, as claimed by Ranjitha on Friday that the controversial video clips were morphed. Her new accusations (rape and extortion) against Lenin have surprised investigators.

Breaking her silence after a scandal broke out against her in March 2010, actress Ranjitha on Friday claimed that the woman with Swami Nithyananda in the controversial clippings was not her.

Talking to journalists in Bengaluru, she said, "I was very scared for my life and that of my family. If I am assured of security by the government, I am ready to name the persons behind it. These people are working with Lenin Karuppu, Nithyananda's former driver."

The actress said that she had been hurt by the allegations. "I was scared, I was threatened, blackmailed, and that forced me to abscond. I was in the US all this time. I have registered a complaint with the Magistrate Court in Ramanagara," she said.

Asked if she had any evidence to prove that the woman was not her, as forensic experts had clarified that the CD was not morphed, she reiterated that the woman was not her. "I don't know if it was me or Swami Nithyananda who was the target. But a huge extortion motive could be the motive behind it," she added.
